Sawasdee Fasai is a Similan liveaboard with a prestigious track record diving all around the Andaman Sea. Formerly the Scuba Explorer, the boat was a popular vessel running trips both in Thailand and to the more remote Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar. In 2016 the boat was sold, renamed and underwent a full refit. The Sawasdee Fasai is now the proud sister ship of the extremely popular Similan liveaboard, MV Pawara. This large, custom built, steel hulled liveaboard offers a touch of luxury with fully serviced dive trips and first class facilities to suit a wide range of budgets.

OVERVIEW

The Sawasdee Fasai operates classic 4 day 4 night trips to the Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock along the same schedule as her sister ship the MV Pawara. Spacious, air-conditioned cabins, a shaded dining area and a large indoor saloon, all decorated in plush Traditional Thai decoration easily accommodate 26 diving guests.

As well as the usual first class facilities you would expect on board a decent mid-priced Similan liveaboard, the Sawasdee Fasai goes the extra mile for their guests. The Sawasdee Fasai has free WiFi (in selected areas only) and offers free Enriched Air Nitrox on all trips (EANx certification required).

DIVING

Sawasdee Fasai Similan Liveaboard Dive Deck

Diving from Sawasdee Fasai is conducted in an extremely professional manner. The captain uses CCTV cameras and radio to communicate with the crew on the dive deck ensuring maximum safety at all times. The dive deck is large so you will have plenty of room when gearing up and it is low to the water line for comfortable entry into the sea.

You will be well taken care of by the boat’s experienced local crew getting on and off the boat and expertly guided underwater by the very professional dive team. Divers certified to use it can enjoy free Nitrox fills for the duration of the trip. A wide range of PADI specialties are available.

RELAXATION

Sawasdee Fasai Similan Liveaboard Saloon Lounge

While safety is the most important factor diving from Sawasdee Fasai, comfort and sociable fun are the key ingredients for your time spent in-between the dives. All communal areas, the huge partly shaded sundeck, the air-conditioned salon and outdoor shaded dining area feature plenty of sofas, chairs and tables, ideal for hanging out with fellow divers and sharing your Similan experiences.

Dining aboard is also a pleasure. The experienced Thai chefs serve delicious, fresh local and Western dishes to suit all tastes. Several vegetarian options are available on request. Snacks and fruits are available throughout the day and night.
